PPP-RI Education Program

Innovate Newport - 513 Broadway, Newport RI 02840

Thursday, March 23rd, 2023

Networking: 8:00 - 8:30 am - Presentation: 8:30 - 9:15 am

One of the most crucial pieces to any successful fundraising program, no matter the size, is a strong marketing campaign. In this presentation, you will learn best practices that can be integrated into your program to increase responses and help identify new prospects. This unique look will focus on how to complement and combine your annual fund marketing and planned giving appeals with a cohesive message that will help close the communication gaps that are often found in development.

Speaker: Robert Ferrell, Jr., University of Rhode Island, Associate Director of Gift Planning

Attendees are welcome to continue networking, sharing ideas and best practices, and discussing the materials after the presentation. Parking is available in the lot at a first come basis with ample street parking immediately nearby. Coffee, tea and light breakfast options will be served.

Members are encouraged to invite guests and prospective new members. Guests may attend free of charge.

About PPP-RI:

Founded in 1993 as the Rhode Island chapter of the national organization of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP), PPPRI is an association of advancement professionals and colleagues from allied fields (attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, consultants) dedicated to furthering the gift planning profession through education and professional development. We are proud to include professionals for a diverse array of organizations – healthcare, social services, public policy, education, arts/culture – in our membership. In addition to the informal opportunities like Coffee and Conversations, we hold formal meetings (upcoming March and May 2023) focused on education and professional development and an annual networking event typically in April. We are fortunate to be able to attract outstanding speakers from across the country, and locally, on a wide variety of topics related to planned giving and pride ourselves in catering our educational opportunities to the needs of our membership.
