The Planned Giving Conversation in the Age of Trump
Presented by: Bob Barr, Barr Associates, LLC

Remember reading Dante's Inferno in college? Above the door at the entrance to hell was inscribed:   "All hope abandon ye who enter here." Lest you fear that the new tax laws have gutted your planned giving programs to this extent, fear not! While we will examine how these changes may impact your donors, the essence of securing planned gifts remains in the quality of the conversation that you have with your donors. So come with an open mind and your questions as we explore how your planned giving program can TRiUMPh in the age of TRUMP!

We are pleased to welcome Bob Barr back into our midst; Bob last spoke with us in September of 2014.  Bob is a graduate of Dartmouth College. His early career involved several different positions in sales and marketing.  In 1990 Bob returned to his alma mater where he spent seven years as Associate Director of Annual Giving.  He spent the next nine years at Vermont Academy, a small private secondary school in Saxtons River, VT, where he orchestrated a successful capital campaign as Director of Advancement.  In 2007 he was appointed the Director of Gift Planning at St. Paul's School in Concord, NH. While there, he helped raise $27 million in planned gifts for their capital campaign.  In 2016 Bob left St. Paul's to found Barr Associates LLC, a fund raising and planned giving consultancy. His experience has helped several small nonprofits in NH and VT.  Bob is the past president of the Planned Giving Group of New England. He is volunteer for his college class, and a recipient of the Dartmouth Alumni Award for his service.  He and his wife, Tricia, live in Enfield, NH overlooking Lake Mascoma.

Please note: The attendance fee for non-members of PPPRI is now $60.
